An Odd But Effective Remedy For Headlight Restoration

There is a strange but useful remedy for restoring headlights that have become less effective due to use. This remedy is insect repellent. It has a strong chemical in it known as DEET, and that chemical can help get the headlight cleaned and looking great.

One should always apply the insect repellent to a cloth of some kind before applying it to the headlight. Doing this will help avoid the possibility of getting some of the DEET chemical on the vehicle paint which can cause major problems.

A lot of auto care shops sell kits that you can use to restore headlights yourself. It is cheaper to do it this way than to pay a mechanic to do the same job. Therefore, it is pretty obviously the case that this is the better route to go if you are serious about saving money and at the same time maintaining a safe vehicle.
