Safety Tips for Choosing Your Teen's First Car

The days of worrying about your teen driving will never come to an end, but you can do everything possible to make certain that they are as safe as possible when they do get out on that road. Here are two things to consider before letting your child off to drive.

Look for a vehicle that has a lower horsepower. This is not going to be a video game for the teen, this is real life. The lower the horsepower, the less likely that they will get themselves into some serious trouble on the roads.

Pick a vehicle that is bigger and heavier because it will basically act like a buffer for your teen. The more metal you can surround them with, the less likely any type of incident will result in them getting hurt.

Take a minute from your day and see us at Route 15 Used Car Center so you can test drive your teen's first car.
