After years of driving through different terrains and climates our cars need a little love. Getting your car detailed is a great way to get the off the lot look but there are some things you can do from the comfort of your home that can really spruce up your car. Showing your car some tlc doesn’t have to break the bank. Here are some inexpensive ways you can fix things on your car with things at you can find at home:

  • If you walk outside and find ice on your windows you can use hand sanitizer to de-ice them. Make sure it's waterless.
  • If you have a small dent on your car you can use dry ice to pop it back in place. Just apply the ice to the dent repeatedly until its back to normal.
  • Clean off your engine with some soap and water every now and then. You can use dishwasher detergent of a degreaser.
  • If you need a quick fix for a scratch you can use clear nail polish, although touch-up paint works best. It helps cover exposed medal to avoid rust.
